Workshop Description:
Dive into the full FortiVoice experience with this hands-on Fast Track workshop designed for real-world K–12 and local government needs. You’ll set up a system from scratch, build extensions, route emergency calls, manage eFax and voicemail, and walk through live scenarios like paging groups and 911 call monitoring. With access to a complete virtual lab, you’ll test, troubleshoot, and explore the same features used in real deployments. Whether you’re starting fresh or looking to sharpen your skills, this is where practical training meets mission-critical communication.
Participants will learn how to:
- Deploy the FortiVoice system from scratch
- IP addressing / Login / Admin Profiles
- Extensions and user privileges : Voice mail, User portal privileges, Call handling
- Configure VOIP trunks : Inbound / Outbound dialing rules, DID management / SIP trunking profile
- Access and manage call detail records
- Manage call flow with auto attendants, ring groups, paging groups, General voicemail
- EFAX
- E911 profile, message groups, barge in, call recording

Reminder: All you will need to bring is a laptop with Wi-Fi support, along with a mouse, and power cable. Although not required, others have found that using a separate smartphone or tablet device to reference the lab instructions can be helpful to make your lab experience more productive.
