Max Klaus has been working for the Federal Administration since 2002 and holds a degree in IT security from a university of applied sciences. He initially worked for the "Guichet Virtuel" and "Vote électronique" (e-voting) projects of the Swiss Federal Chancellery. 

After 18 months as IT security officer in the DDPS, he has been deputy head of the Reporting and Analysis Centre for Information Assurance MELANI since September 1, 2008. Since July 1, 2020, he has also been deputy head of Operative Cybersecurity at the National Cyber Security Center NCSC. In these functions, he is mainly responsible for public relations.
