Description
In this session we will look at best practices for running virtual FortiOS instances on both KVM and ESXi platforms. The emphasis will be on maximising the performance, but we will also outline a methodical step-by-step approach to hypervisor and VM configuration which will minimise problems and get the system running as painlessly as possible. The session will be a combination of presentation and demonstration, combined with capture-the-flag-style lab exercises in which attendees will be challenged to seek out problems with sub-optimal configurations. Ideally attendees should have a basic knowledge of installation and management of VMs in both KVM and ESXi environments.
