Max Homa, born and raised in Valencia, California just outside of Los Angeles, and now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. Max started playing golf at a young age and learned the game at a local public par 3 course Vista Valencia. While attending Valencia High School, Max started playing tournaments on the local and regional level having some great success. He later earned a golf scholarship to attend the University of California Berkley. At Cal Berkley, Max continued to gain more confidence on the course but it wasn’t until his senior season that he started to gain some national notoriety. He went on to win the PAC-12 Conference Championship as well as the 2013 NCAA Championship individual honors and competed in the 2013 US Open as an amateur. Before turning professional, Max was a member of the victorious 2013 Walker Cup team alongside players such as Justin Thomas.

The professional ranks took a few years for Max to settle into after winning two Korn Ferry Tour events, earning his PGA Tour Card on different occasions. After great perseverance, Max won his first PGA Tour event at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship. Since then Max went on to a number of great finishes on the PGA Tour highlighted by three wins in California: the 2021 Genesis Invitational presented by the Tiger Woods Foundation, and the back to back 2021 and 2022 Fortinet Championship victor hosted in Napa. Max considers himself a proud Californian and thoroughly enjoys the time he spends visiting Napa Valley with his friends and family.

In his downtime away from golf, Max enjoys his massive social media following, specifically his “swing roasts." He is married to his wife Lacey and has a golden retriever named Scotty.

Max currently ranks 6th in the Official World Golf Ranking and is sitting at 3rd in the 2022-23 FedEx Cup Standings.
