The FortiNAC solution is employed to ascertain an inventory of devices connected within a FortiGate/FortiSwitch network environment. This inventory is crucial in understanding the network’s composition and its active users. The profiled data of these connected devices and users are tagged and integrated into the FortiGate system. The primary objective of this integration is to enhance the granularity of control within the FortiGate Firewall Policy. By leveraging this detailed awareness, we can achieve more precise and effective network management, thereby improving overall security and operational efficiency. This approach underscores our commitment to maintaining a robust and secure network environment.
