Shaun Carriveau is a Senior Technical Trainer at Fortinet with 20+ years of experience in many different facets of IT. Given his role in the military and as a military contractor, security has always been second nature. He began his career in the United States Navy as a Cryptologic Technician. In 2004, Shaun moved into a contractor role supporting, implementing, and engineering global-scale networks and technologies, working side by side with the US military in Europe and the Middle East. In 2012 he returned to the as a Sr. Network Engineer where he architected and implemented scalable and secure network infrastructures using a number of Fortinet products. In 2015 Shaun took a role at a Fortinet partner as a Sr. Network/Security Engineer he then joined Fortinet in 2016 as a Channel Systems Engineer and was involved in partner training. He joined Training and Enablement in 2017 where he delivers NSE 4 – 7 courses. In his spare time, Shaun enjoys a wide variety of interests ranging from powersports, martial arts, sports, and even tinkering with different technologies.
