Travel Information 

Arriving By Taxi / Rideshare

  • Taxi and rideshare drop-offs and pick-ups will be available on Reserve Road next to the Gate 1 Course Entrance.
  • Please note that Cheltenham Road is closed, therefore it is recommended you request your drop off / pick up is at the junction of Reserve Road and Tulip Street. 

Arriving By Train 

  • The nearest train station is Cheltenham Station, located on the Frankston Line. From there, it’s just a short trip to the course.
  • A free shuttle bus service will run regularly between Cheltenham Station and The Royal Melbourne Golf Club from Wednesday - Sunday event week, making it simple to get to and from the venue. 
  • The shuttle bus operates between 06:30AM -18:45PM on Thursday and Friday, and 07:45AM - 18:45PM on Sunday. The journey is approximately 5 min drive to Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
  • The shuttle bus will drop you at the Gate 1 Course Entrance.

Access via Gate 1 

  • We recommend that you enter the Golf Course via Gate 1, which is the main entrance to the Australian Open. 
  • Gate 1 can be accessed via Tulip Street.
  • When you enter via Gate 1 this will bring you into the Event Village (19th Hole). 

Fortinet Business Unit 

  • The Fortinet Business Unit is located by the 12th Fairway and is just a short walk from the Event Village (19th Hole). The Fortinet Business Unit is marked FB on the below site map.
  • Once you enter Gate 1, walk through the Event Village (19th Hole), The Royal Melbourne Clubhouse will be on your right and you will reach the practice putting green. 
  • Please turn right as you reach the putting green, and follow the path up the side of the 12th Fairway. You will see the AMEX Ticket+ Pavillion first. 
  • Walk behind the AMEX pavilion, along the black fencing that is in situ. At the end of the black fencing, turn left and you will see the entrance to the Fortinet Business Unit.
