Synopsis: Cybercriminals continue to evolve their playbooks, build resources, grow infrastructure and recruit personnel as their ecosystem and supply chains expand. Holistic disruption of this often complex criminal ecosystem requires commitment and strategy through a multi-stakeholder effort at global scale. Public-private partnerships and information sharing are key components of disruption that exist in various formats today.
This session will present an ecosystem approach to disruption, highlighting Fortinet’s work with the World Economic Forum C4C, Partnership Against Cybercrime & Cybercrime Atlas initiative. This initiative aims to map the cybercriminal ecosystem, illuminate shared infrastructure and resources, while identifying disruption opportunities for a global multi-stakeholder environment. In practice, an ecosystem first approach will also benefit detection and investigation of cybercrime as well as attempt to answer the question of how we can collectively measure the success and efficacy of disruption.
