Dominick Birolin

Dominick has extensive information technology, audit, and compliance experience across a broad range of industries. Starting his career serving in the US Army from 1995 to 1999 with a military occupational specialty of microwave and satellite communications, he later served as AT&T North New Jersey Maintenance Manager where he prepared their network for Y2K. Dominick worked for Reuters (now Thompson Reuters) and rebuilt their stock market data feeds after the 9/11 attacks destroyed their major data hubs within the World Trade Center which was the major data hub for lower Manhattan.

His expansion into the power industry came in 2010 while working for an IPP in the Northeastern US. Where he built their NERC CIP compliance and cybersecurity programs. He most recently served as independent consultant, where he assisted clients with NERC CIP compliance and served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) Environments. He's also held senior solution architect roles with Wurldtech (a GE Company) and North American Energy Alliance LLC (Essential Power, LLC) as well as technology SME roles with AT&T Managed Internet Services.

Dominick formerly was a member of the MRO NERC Standards Review Forum (NSRF) group and now serves as a member of the NERC Security Working Group. The Security Working Group (SWG) serves the Reliability and Security Technical Committee (RSTC) in providing a formal input process to enhance collaboration between the ERO and industry with an ongoing working group. The SWG also supports industry efforts to mitigate emergent risks by providing technical expertise and feedback to the ERO Enterprise Compliance Assurance group in developing and enhancing security compliance-related products, including guidelines, guidance, best practices, and lessons learned.

Dominick is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), and Fortinet Network Security Expert NSE4.



Christopher Blauvelt

Chris brings more than 10 years of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure experience working in the renewable energy industry. He was directly involved in the development, construction, and operations of wind and solar power plants and their high voltage systems. His work within the energy and utility industry has also afforded him experience in the development and maintenance of substation protection, automation, and control systems. Chris has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson University with thesis work in substation protection, automation, and control involving the IEC61850 family of protocols.



Martin Diaz

Martin Diaz is part of the Operational Technology (OT) Security channel team at Fortinet. Prior to Fortinet, Martin was the director of the OT Security practice for NTT Security in the Americas region where he was responsible for leading a group of cyber security consultants to serve NTT’s customers by solving their most complex OT security problems.

Martin was previously the Global Modernization Consultant / Offer Manager for Schneider Electric’s Industry Services business unit. Prior to that, Martin worked for General Electric Intelligent Platforms, a subsidiary of General Electric Company, where he worked on the development of professional services strategies for plant wide projects for both Remote Monitoring and Diagnostic Services and Manufacturing Execution Systems working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of critical systems including gas turbines, gas engines, waste to energy systems, and water filtration systems, among others. His prior experience also includes Product Management, Business Development, Account Management and Application/Field Services Engineering.



Rick Howard

A French speaker, David is used regularly by the RFU for translation and liaison purposes. As well as regularly officiating in the Premiership, he officiated in the Commonwealth Games, the iRB U21 World Cup, The European Cup and the 2007 iRB Rugby World Cup qualifying competition and the Twickenham leg of the iRB World 7’s tournament since 2002.

Jonathan Nguyen-Duy

He specializes in security and governance issues pertaining to zero trust, insider threats, privacy, resilience and managed services.Prior to joining Fortinet, Jonathan served as the Security CTO at Verizon Enterprise Solutions where he was responsible for strategic technology partnerships, the Verizon Cyber Intelligence Center, and the data science team that produces the annual Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report. 

Before that role, he led Verizon’s Managed Security Services business and was responsible for data analytics and solutions supporting global enterprises and public sector agencies of all sizes. He has more than 20 years of cybersecurity and business continuity experience – working through many business challenges including armed conflict, civil strife, labor strikes, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, network outages and a wide range of cybersecurity incidents.

 



Fabio Paim

Fabio is a senior cybersecurity practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in security and networking for IT and OT, having come from the Manufacturing industry, with previous experience in consulting for Government, Utilities and Oil & Gas. He joined Fortinet in 2014 and has held various positions in the systems engineering groups.

In his current role as Director of Operational Technology, he guides customers through a safe Digital Transformation journey in their ICS/SCADA critical infrastructure environments, by sharing reference architectural insights and industry best practices.

Prior to joining Fortinet, Fabio led the Latin America Infrastructure and Security teams at FMC Corporation, a global chemical manufacturing organization. Before that, he worked for Siemens Enterprise Communications (currently Atos Unify), delivering technical sales and professional services to a variety of industrial and government customers.



Jim Richberg

Jim Richberg’s role as Fortinet’s Head of Cyber Policy and Global Field CISO leverages his nearly 40 years’ experience driving innovation in cybersecurity and threat intelligence. Prior to joining Fortinet, Jim served as the US National Intelligence Manager for Cyber, the senior Federal Executive focused on cyber intelligence within the $80B+/100,000 employee US Intelligence Community (IC). He led the creation and implementation of cyber strategy for the 17 departments and agencies of the IC, set integrated priorities on cyber threat, and served as the senior advisor to the Director of National Intelligence on cyber issues. He brings a broad enterprise-level approach to cybersecurity honed as a member of the Executive team that oversaw implementation of a whole-of-government US Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative for two Presidents.

Since joining Fortinet, Jim has been named a “Fed 100” and a “Pinnacle” awardee for his influence on technology in the U.S. Federal government, a “State Scoop 50” leader for driving innovation in state IT, and he was nominated as a “Security Pioneer” for his sustained contribution to cybersecurity. He is a member of the US IT Sector Coordinating Council, the CNBC Technology Executive Council, the Forbes Technology Council, and the World Economic Forum’s Cybersecurity Leadership Community. He leads industry working groups focused on national cyber strategy, implementing Federal cybersecurity initiatives with the private sector, and on helping state and local government improve their cybersecurity. With 17 years of cybersecurity experience in both the government and private sector, Klint provides expertise to assist critical infrastructure owners and operators to improve their cybersecurity posture. Additionally, he provides support and guidance for State, Local, Territorial and Tribal government cybersecurity programs. Klint has previously held positions as an Information Systems Security Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services and Chief Information Security Officer for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).
