The 172,000 square feet building was constructed using a prefabricated construction strategy. Clark Pacific used Infinite Facade, a complete building envelope system, and architectural precast for the exterior design. The wall panels were fabricated and delivered onsite to be erected. This offsite construction approach reduced construction by 20%. As a result, the building was completed four months faster than traditional construction. In addition, this approach significantly decreased traffic on site and, therefore also decreased carbon emissions.

Fortinet’s headquarters was designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification. The building will use 30% less energy per year than the typical all-electric office building. The new HQ leverages the latest in energy conservation technologies, such as auto-dimming light sensors that are integrated with ceiling skylights. As well, the company meets California Title 24 and U.S. Green Building Standard, "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design" (LEED), which includes the use of low volatile organic compounds throughout the building. Future plans include solar panel integration so that one-third of the power used for the building is self-generated.
