A: All attendees must be employed by a Partner of Fortinet and have achieved NSE 3 by the time of registration in order to attend. If you plan to participate in the NSE 4 track, it is highly recommended (but not required) that you take the NSE 4 training available on the NSE Institute.
A: We are pleased to offer all attendees the opportunity to take an Exam on Thursday, November 14. In addition, all attendees will receive an Exam Voucher to be used at a later date.
A: The NSE4 being delivered at Xperts Academy is only the Security module, understanding the content of the Infrastructure module is also required to pass the exam. So the short answer is no, the content at XA is not sufficient. In general, the recommendation and best practice is that no one should expect to be able to pass any of the exams based on only the content as it is delivered at XA. Obtaining a passing grade typically relies on a combination of prior Fortinet experience, studying the on-line content and optionally taking an instructor led course.
A: No. You are welcome to take any exam that is available for testing.
A: There will be three testing sessions available at the Xpert Academy. One two-hour session will host NSE 4 and NSE 8 Written exams. Concurrently, there will be a one-hour session for NSE 5 and NSE 7 exams, followed by a second one-hour session for NSE 5 and NSE 7 exams. A: This year you will have the opportunity to take your exam(s) at our on-site Pearson VUE testing center. The exam will be administered on a BYOL-basis. To participate you must bring your own laptop (Windows or Mac). Tablets and Linux devices cannot be used. If you agree, and you meet system requirements, it is recommended that you launch the secure browser (Fortinet.exe) before the testing day to ensure proper functionality. When launched, the browser locker will connect you to the Pearson VUE account login page and lock all other functions on your PC.
Before participating in on-site testing: You must confirm that you can launch the browser locker without technical issues, that your Pearson VUE account is active, and that you are able to authenticate at the test session (you cannot recover your password when your PC is locked). At the Xperts Academy, visit us at the registration desk with any questions. Do not register for any exams prior to the test day using your Pearson VUE account. Exam registration and administration will take place on the test day.
Note: Ensure that you have a Pearson VUE account prior to arrival, it may take up to 3 days to create the account.
A: No. Only the NSE 8 written exam will be available during the NSE Pearson VUE Certification Testing session.
A: There are no NSE exams aligned with the SD-WAN track or the NSE 8 Immersion track. Students in these tracks do not necessarily need to take an exam, but are free to take any exam available. The NSE 8 written exam will be offered during the testing sessions.
A: The Loews Chicago O'Hare offers a free shuttle service from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) that runs every 15 minutes on the hour, from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Please refer to the Shuttle Bus Service document for details.
The Midway International Airport (MDW) is approximately 50 miles from the Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel. Shuttle service is not available from the Loews Chicago O'Hare.
A: Appropriate business casual dress typically includes slacks or khakis, dress shirt or blouse, open-collar or polo shirt, optional tie or seasonal sport coat, a dress or skirt at knee-length or below, a tailored blazer, knit shirt or sweater, and loafers or dress shoes that cover all or most of the foot.
