Description

We break the demonstration into 3 primary areas of concern:

Network security - Key elements that can contribute to a secure network include FortiGate NGFW, which provides secure connectivity and network segmentation. Fortinet Secure SD-WAN natively operating in FortiGate establishes secure, high-performance connectivity to applications running on hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments. This provides Cloud on ramp. Then post connectivity FortiGate provides strong UTM capabilities to protect workload segments in both N-S and E-W and also provides Zero Trust Security capabilities

Platform security - One of the primary causes of cloud-related risk is misconfiguration. By leveraging the public cloud management API and Cloud native security protection services, FortiCNP can provide the necessary complete cloud workload protection to safeguard cloud use at the infrastructure level. FortiCNP also provides visibility and control over cloud infrastructure, including risk management, data security, traffic analysis, and threat defence.

Application security - Software as a Service, and Web Applications developed in Agile or Continuous Integration, Continuous Development (CICD) Lifecycles, can mean that organisation's security teams may have little control over web application security, with penetration tests and statically tuned web application firewalls being out of date almost from the moment they are performed. A broad, multi-control based solution driven by machine learning is the only way to ensure that application security keeps pace with the modern software development cycle. This FortiWeb Demo shows how the use of multi-layered controls together with multi-stage machine learning can provide continuous security even when the protected application constantly changes.
