The Future Of Cybersecurity - From A Friendly Hacker’s Perspective
We are thrilled to announce Keren Elazari, noted security researcher, TED Speaker and friendly hacker, as a keynote speaker at Fortinet Fast and Secure 2023. Keren will be speaking on the future of cybersecurity and how during the past 2 years, threat actors have innovated faster than ever before, using “growth hacking” tricks to increase the impact of their criminal enterprises.
Keren’s keynote session is part of a comprehensive look at the challenges facing service providers today and the solutions that enable them to protect their infrastructure and workforce while delivering leading-edge services at the same time.
Keren Elazari is an internationally recognized security analyst, researcher, author, and speaker. Since 2000, Keren has worked with leading Israeli security firms, government organizations, Global big 4, and Fortune 500 companies. She spent years as an officer with the IDF Intelligence Branch and has a master's degree in security studies and political science from Tel Aviv University.
Keren covers emerging security technologies as an independent strategic analyst and advisor. In 2014, Keren became the first Israeli woman to speak at the prestigious TED Conference. Keren's talk has been viewed by millions, translated to 30 languages, and chosen for TED's 'Most Powerful Ideas'. In 2020, Keren's TED talk is still one of TED's most-watched talks on the topic of security and hacking.
Keren is currently a senior researcher at the Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center at Tel Aviv University. Keren is also the founder of Israel's largest security community event, BSidesTLV, part of the global SecurityBSides movement, and the Leading Cyber Ladies, a global professional network for Women in Cyber Security.

Filippo Cassini joined Fortinet in 2003 and has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications, IT and security industries. He leads the Presales Consultants team which engages with Fortinet's top Telco customers around the world.
Before becoming Fortinet’s Vice President of Worldwide Consulting Systems Engineering, Filippo held positions as Security Products System Engineer at Exclusive Networks, a pan-european security products distributor, and also worked as LINUX security consultant and engineer. Filippo holds an engineering degree.
As an experienced senior executive with a proven track record in sales and business development, Lizzie joins forces with the regional management team to spearhead Fortinet’s growth and market share expansion across the region.
She joined Fortinet from F5, where she spent 15 years and held a series of sales leadership roles, initially as Sales Director for Southern Europe and later senior vice president of sales for EMEA. Prior to F5, Lizzie worked at Nortel Networks for 10 years, as the International Sales Director, where she focused on integrating the company’s regionally developed enterprise telecommunication products into Nortel’s global channel sales engagement.
Pablo Molinero joined Fortinet in 2020 as Sr. Director Product Management of the Telco Vertical. Pablo brings a wealth of experience from over 18 years in the Telecommunications industry.
Before joining Fortinet, he held product management and pre-sales manager positions at Ericsson. Pablo likes understanding complex problems and then explaining them in a didactical way, as he is also a part-time lecturer at Universidad Carlos III, Madrid. Pablo holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and 4 M.Sci. from US, France and Spain. He holds 11 patents.
Kash Valji is a Director of Consulting Systems Engineering (EMEA and APAC). He has more than 20 years of experience in the Cyber security industry. His focussed areas include; authentication, threat intelligence, denial of service and malware analysis. Kash has a BA honours degree in Information Systems and Masters of Science in Distributed Computing Systems from the University of Greenwich.
Ronen Shpirer is leading Fortinet’s solutions marketing for the mobile networks operator (MNOs) segment, with emphasis on security’s role and solutions for innovative public and private 5G infrastructure and services. Ronen has over 30 years of international pre-sales and marketing experience in networking and security in the service provider and enterprise markets.
Prior to joining Fortinet, Ronen worked for several leading networking and VAS companies including Motorola, Nortel Networks, and Cisco Systems.
Ronen holds degrees in Business Administration and Sociology. Mr. Shpirer is based at Fortinet’s EMEA headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France.
Trevor Rodriguez is Global VP of Advanced Technical Support, as well as all Japan and European Services, at Fortinet. He has 25 years’ experience across the network security hardware/software industry, focused on Carrier Service Providers.
After graduating from an MBA from the University of Toronto, he went on to a variety of Services leadership functions including; Technical Support, Professional Services and Services Sales and Marketing. Over three decades ago Jeroen van Pelt started out as a primary school teacher in The Netherlands with a keen interest in technology. During his CyberCash years he transitioned from Technical Trainer to Product Manager. As project manager he effectively lead the migration of their innovative payments platform to VeriSign's payment services. Utilizing his experience he has successfully lead product initiatives, from ideation to launch and beyond. At Skool he was recognized for his ability to bring together cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions like SkoolControl, SkoolLogin and MySkool for their 1200+ schools in The Netherlands. Jeroen's portfolio at Veldwerk comprises of responsibilities for project and process management in addition to product management. Bringing together these three P's enable Jeroen to help businesses navigate the challenges of the digital age and to delivering products that meet the evolving needs of the market.
Kostas Rigas leads the development of new products and services based on overlay services including SD-WAN, security and NFV capability for BT dynamic network services portfolio. In his current role, he is responsible for developing innovative, managed and co-managed secure SD-WAN solutions globally supporting large enterprises through their network transformation. Prior to this, Kostas worked in business development and subsequently as Business Improvement Manager heading up the transformation of Global Telecom Market unit within BT. He also worked in the consultancy space helping operators understand the potential business case associated to new technology. Kostas has always worked in complex, high tech B2B markets.
Mark Oakton is the founder of Infosec Partners, a leading cyber security consultancy providing expertise to government, global organisations, and high-profile individuals. A recognised expert in Information Security, Mark has a wealth of experience in keeping organisations secure.
Mark has trained and certified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ISO Cybersecurity lead auditor, certified listed advisor scheme consultant (CESG/GCHQ CLAS) and as a forensic investigator.

Richard has over 15 years’ experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry. Richard leads our CTO function where the product management and solution architecture teams reside. Alongside designing customer solutions, the team own the Digital Space technology strategy and work with all other areas of the business to create a cohesive technology roadmap that has our customers’ needs at the heart of its construction.
Richard has worked in customer service, delivery, presales and product management positions for small companies and some of the largest companies in the world. Before joining Digital Space Richard held the position of Solutions & Strategy Director at Daisy Corporate Services. Richard has experience in running cross function improvement programs and creating high functioning product development teams.
Rita joined the Orange Business product team in 2023 as Product Manager, in charge of developing Flexible SD-WAN with Fortinet. She is closely working with Fortinet, an Orange key partner, and coordinating stakeholders in engineering, operations, business planning, sourcing & supply chain for the creation of value-added services around the SD-WAN technology.
Prior to this, Rita worked as a strategic account manager for large accounts, leveraging the Orange Business portfolio to key customers, meeting critical needs for their businesses, thus building strong and lasting relationships based on trust.
Mark is an experienced product leader with over 20 years’ experience leading products and product development teams within Connectivity, Security and Unified Communications products. Whilst at Vodafone, he has helped to establish Vodafone Business as a Global Networks and Software Defined Networks/SASE leader, growing at nearly 2 x the market, led the co-creation and development of Vodafone’s first Mobile Private Network offer, as well as UCaaS products such as MS Teams Direct Routing. He has been successful throughput his career developing compelling product visions, executing on product plans and board papers. Mark has an MBA from the Henley Management College in the UK.
Andreina is Product Manager and Product Owner of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) within the Evolution Platform program at Orange Business since January 2023. She works closely with Fortinet to develop, integrate, and implement SASE solution and coordinates the different interactions with key stakeholders. She also works with Orange SDWAN teams to drive convergence and create more value by delivering an enriched value proposition to Orange Business customers.
Prior to this position, Andreina worked as a Product Manager for SME Orange Business market. She led the strategy of high-end offers’ portfolio evolution aiming to keep value and revenues while maintaining a good customer experience and NPS. He is a digital native who is interested in offensive security and cyber. In his role at Fortinet, he works in a strategic engagement team. They combine data science with security strategy and facilitate tactics to support security portfolio planning. Jonas specializes in industry threat expertise with in-depth knowledge in threat intelligence, exploits, penetration testing, machine learning, and advanced malware concepts. Amit have 20 years+ experience in IT & Security Services Sector. Amit joined Fortinet EMEA team in 2019 and has responsibility to develop MSSP footprint with Tier 1 Carriers & Partners, and build a successful strategy with the sales team to grow faster our revenue.
Prior to Fortinet, Amit spend 12+ years with a Platinum Partner in UK as a Sales Manager ‘Fortinet Specialist’ and he also worked with Tata Infotech (TCS) System Integration Division. Amit holds a B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Open University, UK.
As Senior Director of Solutions Marketing, Patrick is responsible for creating and evangelizing key messages about Fortinet's cybersecurity solutions. Prior to joining Fortinet, over the course of the past 30 years, he has worked for a number of small and medium-sized organizations as well as large enterprises such as Wellfleet Communications, Bay Networks, Nortel Networks, Hughes Network Systems, and Comtech Mobile Data Communications in the United States, the United Kingdom and France, holding a number of senior international sales and marketing positions. Patrick received his technical training during his service in the US Navy. Patrick is based at Fortinet's EMEA facility in Sophia Antipolis, France.
Antoine joined Fortinet in 2019 to lead the OT strategy and revenue growth in EMEA. With 25 years’ experience in product management, engineering, sales and marketing, Antoine mostly worked for industrial clients together with Fortinet, General Electric, ALSTOM, and Altran.
In his product management roles for Control vendors, he was leading the digital solution portfolio including the M&D as well as Cyber Security products and services solutions.
Antoine participated to several global events as a speaker and panelist. He is contributor into industrial cybersecurity working group, he is a certified Global Industrial Cyber Professional (GIAC-GICSP) trained at SANS institute, he holds a MSc of Telecom & IT and an MBA.
A native of Paris, he lived in several countries to finally settle in Zurich area in Switzerland, where he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two kids.
Ricardo is a risk management expert and digital transformation strategist with extensive experience in large-scale change programs. He is passionate about helping businesses succeed in the digital age and has developed a deep understanding of NIS2 and other cybersecurity frameworks which he used to advise during his consulting career.
Ricardo's recent book, "Policy Design in the Age of Digital Adoption," offers valuable insights into how organizations can develop effective risk management and compliance programs that align with NIS2. He has led successful projects for large tier 1 financial services organizations in EMEA and leverages his strengths in Strategic, Achiever, Ideation, Command, and Competition to navigate the complexities of cybersecurity frameworks and support digital transformation initiatives.
Based in Dubai (UAE), Apollinaire is in charge of developing Fortinet’s Public Cloud business in the Middle East.
Previous to Fortinet, Apollinaire worked for Tata Communications where he led a team of Solutions Architects covering the company’s full portfolio of managed services, including Hybrid Clouds, Security, Networking and Unified Communications.
Other experience includes several years with Cisco in the Emerging Markets, where Apollinaire occupied various roles in the area of Collaboration technologies: Sr Manager Consulting Systems Engineers, Regional CTO and Sales Lead. He has a solid experience in Communications Technologies, after 11 years at Nortel Networks, where he was a Partner Manager, a Systems Engineer and a Senior Systems Engineer Manager.
Apollinaire holds a Masters in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Equally comfortable conducting a serious in-depth interview, being a witty and amusing awards show host, after dinner speaker or auctioneer, David brings a rare combination of energy, creativity, experience and attention to detail to ensure a highly successful event.
David has appeared in numerous corporate films, hosted many live events including awards ceremonies, auctions and conferences, and has also worked on many projects as a voice over artist.

FAQs
The 16th edition of Fast & Secure will be held at the Melia Castilla Hotel, Madrid and is an in-person summit only. All accommodation will be at the Melia Castilla Hotel and is covered by the delegate fee as detailed in the conference package section above
Yes, but please note that an additional charge of 175EUR will be due to include an additional night accommodation and breakfast
Within the delegate fee, 2 nights accommodation, meals throughout the event and attendance at the business sessions are included (full details in the conference package section). Please see below for important information on what's not included:
1. Attendees are responsible for their own airfare and travel arrangements to and from Madrid, all non-conference related activities and hotel incidental costs
2. No airport transfers are provided

4. Credit card fees are not included
5. GUESTS (family members/spouse/partner): Fast & Secure is a business event and as such, guests (family members, spouse, partners or friends) are not allowed to join delegates. It is against the FCPA compliance that guests would benefit in any way from the Fortinet subsidized accommodation. Therefore, delegate's guests will not be accepted for the duration of the event.
Payment will be processed via credit card during the registration process.
Please note:
- Only paid, registered delegates can attend Fast & Secure. All registration fees must be paid on registration
- The participation fee of this event shall be paid in accordance with the applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations; with the FCPA regulation. In addition, shall the participation fee of this event not be paid directly by the participant (legal entity), the participant is solely responsible to ensure that: i) the participant (legal entity) is not a government entity or an affiliate of a government entity and ii) the payment of the participation fee by a third party is in line with the participant internal policies
No refund of the delegate fee will be provided upon cancellation unless Fortinet can resell the seat to another delegate. In case of cancellation the refund will not include credit card fees.

Transportation from/to the airports and the hotel where you will be lodged is not provided so delegates will have to make their own arrangement to arrive to their hotel. Taxis charge a fixed 30 Euro fee from the airport to Madrid center.
Spain Travel Health
In order to enter Spain, all passengers, regardless of the country of origin (except children under the age of 12 and passengers in international transit), must show one of these documents:
1. An EU DIGITAL COVID CERTIFICATE OR EU EQUIVALENT of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative certificate of an active infection diagnostic test or a recovery certificate after having this disease.
2. SpTH QR. If you do not have the EU Digital COVID Certificate or equivalent, you must complete the SpTH Health Control Form, manually entering the details of your vaccination, recovery, or diagnostic test certificate.
The vaccination certificate with complete schedule for children under 18 has no expiry date.
