XPERTS Summit | Morning Workshops
Application design paradigms are transitioning from monolithic Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) to rapidly delivered applications. These applications function as component services within a larger, integrated service framework defined by API interfaces and a cluster-based network. This abstraction fundamentally alters the delivery of security measures. This session aims to introduce Kubernetes networking and microservices design concepts. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of constructing a Kubernetes deployment in a cloud environment. This knowledge will equip them for subsequent optional courses, where they will explore ingress and egress security concepts using Fortinet solutions.
This Workshop will cover different analytic solutions to enable the participant to understand network, security, application, and infrastructure events. Participants will learn how to configure the FortiAnalyzer (FAZ) for standard functionality and advanced concepts, such as Event Handlers and integration subjects. The main focus of the event will be learning the key concepts of analysis using the FAZ and how to integrate the new features of the FAZ Generative AI (FortiAI) tool. FAZ FortiAI provides an instrumental layer for improving efficiency with log data analysis. Participants will come away from the course with an understanding of not only what the FAZ FortiAI can help them accomplish but also the best way to accomplish their own business goals.
Following the FortiAnalyzer section, this workshop will cover the SOCaaS product. Demonstrations will be conducted to show how SOCaaS can provide actionable data analytics from the different product integrations and what you can accomplish with the information after you have been alerted of a security incident. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the entire solution and how it leverages data analytics, featuring FortiGuard’s AI service and FortiSOAR.
